Remembering is more important than knowing.

It’s about remembering not to forget, not about not doing. First you remember, and then you tackle the problem.

The real problem is when we don’t remember—then we can’t do what we’re supposed to do because we forgot about it in the first place.

Have you ever started a project, like learning English, and everything was going well? And then, without knowing why, you just stopped?

Isn’t that strange?

You don’t even remember why you quit.

Imagine how good your English would be if you had kept going instead of stopping.

Sometimes the problem isn’t discipline—it’s that people tend to forget things.

I don’t know why we’re like this.

We forget important things, like government corruption.

And that’s why we don’t go far with our projects—we simply forget about them.

I still don’t have a perfect solution for this, but I’ve tried many things, and some work.

You can try them yourself:

First: Use an app where you can list the important habits you should maintain.

Every night before bed, the app reminds you what habits you should have done that day.

Then you try not to forget and build a completion chain—no matter what, you do your habits every day and check the app.

This worked wonders for me. The app is Loop – Habit Tracker, which is by far the best. Seriously, it’s really good because it’s simple.

But it’s not a problem to just use a notebook for that—write it on paper and put it on your refrigerator or mirror, something you look at daily. For me, this doesn’t work, though.

Another thing I tried that might work for you: Create a document and print it. Write down the important things you should be doing today to achieve your dreams.

Keep it in an easy-to-access place.

Another solution: Have an accountability partner—a friend who checks in with you.

This doesn’t work for me because they always forget, and it’s not their responsibility, you know.

But it might work for you.
