Interpretação de texto no Simple Present – beginner

A interpretação de textos é a capacidade de compreender o que está sendo dito em uma mensagem escrita. Esta habilidade requer que:

• saibamos ler e compreender o que é dito, ainda que não tenhamos compreensão de todo o vocabulário;
• sejamos capazes de buscar informações no texto;
• sejamos capazes de absorver, refletir e desdobrar o que foi lido.

A interpretação de textos é uma habilidade que deve ser desenvolvida desde o começo do aprendizado de um idioma, já que a interpretação abrange questões muito além de simplesmente ler um texto. Interpretar, compreender e desdobrar são conceitos fundamentais para a fluência, e você só vai saber interpretar criando vínculo e memória com a língua.

É graças a interpretação que você entende que eu não comprei um morcego, eu comprei um bastão [de baseball], e que ela não tem pele justa, ela tem a pele clara.

A interpretação [de textos] está relacionada à autonomia no idioma e à noção de pensamento lateral. Hoje vamos começar com um texto bem simples e com vocabulário bem básico e típico do simple present – a rotina. Você pode, inclusive, usá-lo de modelo para praticar.

Para trabalharmos os textos, não vamos trabalhar questões de múltipla escolha. Trabalharemos questões direcionadas, mas mais abertas para que você tenha a chance de praticar o pensamento lateral e não só a fixação.

Simple Present text:

I’m Carl. I’m an English teacher and I have a big family, so I have a very busy daily routine. First, I get up at six o’clock, get washed and dressed and leave for work at seven-thirty. I get to school at eight o’clock. I prepare my lessons and then I teach until noon. The other teachers and I always eat lunch and talk together in the teachers’ room. I teach again in the afternoon and then I correct my students’ homework and tests. After I get back home, I help my kids with their homework. I have three kids in elementary school – Mathew, John and Susie. Then I do some exercise, eat dinner with my family and watch TV before I go to bed at about ten o’clock. We love to watch travel shows. I read in bed for a few minutes before I fall asleep.

As perguntas acima eram direcionadas ao texto, ou seja, todas as informações estão escritas claramente. Agora vamos trabalhar questões mais abertas, relacionadas a você ou deduzindo coisas conforme o texto que lemos.
