Scene: A busy street corner in Manhattan on a sunny afternoon. Ben, a tourist with a camera around his neck, approaches a woman named Lisa who’s waiting at a crosswalk.

Ben: Excuse me, sorry to bother you. Do you know how to get to the Metropolitan Museum of Art?

Lisa: Oh sure! Is this your first time in the city?

Ben: Yeah, it is. There’s so much to see—I’m a bit overwhelmed, honestly.

Lisa: I know the feeling! It’s a lot to take in. Have you figured out the subway yet?

Ben: I’ve used it a few times, but I’m still getting used to it. Can you tell me which train to take?

Lisa: Absolutely. So right now we’re near Union Square. You want to go down to the subway and take the 4, 5, or 6 train uptown to 86th Street. When you come out, you’ll see the museum right there. You really can’t miss it.

Ben: Oh, that doesn’t sound too complicated! What else would you recommend seeing while I’m here?

Lisa: Well, since you’re going to the Met, there are some other amazing museums nearby. The Guggenheim is just a short walk from there, and the Museum of Modern Art is also worth visiting.

Ben: Those sound great! I don’t have a guidebook, though. Any idea where I could pick one up?

Lisa: There’s a big bookstore just across the street. They’ll have guidebooks and city maps—everything you need.

Ben: Perfect! Thanks so much for your help. I really appreciate it.Lisa: No problem! Enjoy the city!
