Yesterday, I went to the market to pick up some groceries. I wrote down a list of things I wanted to get, including items like eggs, milk, bread, apples, and lettuce. But I was in a rush when I was leaving so I forgot my list at home. I didn’t realize until I already got to the market so I wasn’t able to go back home to pick it up.
I tried to remember what was on my list but I couldn’t remember everything. This really bothered me but there was nothing I could do but try my best to recall what I wrote down. I understand now why people often make digital lists on their phones instead of using a notepad.
But thankfully, I was still able to purchase most of the things I wanted. When I arrived home, I checked my list and saw the only thing I forgot was granola.

Ontem fui ao mercado para umas compras. Escrevi uma lista de itens, incluindo ovos, leite, pão, maçã e alface. Mas saí com pressa e esqueci a lista em casa. Eu só me dei conta quando cheguei no mercado então não tive como voltar para casa para buscar a lista.
Tentei lembrar o que tinha na minha lista, mas não consegui lembrar de tudo. Isso me chateou, mas não tinha o que fazer a não ser me esforçar para tentar lembrar o que eu tinha escrito. Agora eu compreendo o porquê algumas pessoas fazem listas digitais pelo celular ao invés de usar blocos de anotações.
Por sorte, eu consegui comprar a maioria das coisas que eu queria. Quando cheguei em casa, verifiquei a lista e percebi que o único item que havia esquecido foi a granola.
