One of the seven New World Wonders is Machu Picchu in Peru. Many hikers from around the world come to Machu Picchu to see the Inca ruins at the top of the mountain. Many people have to train themselves before attempting the hike at Machu Picchu because of the duration and difficulty for the average person.
It is reported that the Inca trail up the mountain takes hikers approximately four days to complete. So it is really important to be prepared for a multiple-day adventure when going to Machu Picchu. But with proper training for long-distance hiking, it is not impossible to complete the hike on Inca Trail! And with the views of the Inca ruins and the triumph of arriving at one of the New World Wonders, the hike at Machu Picchu is known to be well worth the effort by hikers all around the world.
