[Living room. A light suddenly goes out. Linda and her dad look up]

Linda: Oh! The light just went out.

Dad: Looks like we need a new bulb. Want to help me change it?

Linda: Sure!

Dad: It’s pretty high up, so I’ll need the ladder. Can you hold it steady while I climb?

Linda: Yeah, I got it.

Dad: Great. You can hold the new bulb too and hand it to me when I’m ready.

Linda: Okay!

Dad: Alright, I’m going up. You holding it?

Linda: Yep, nice and steady.

Dad: Ugh, this old bulb is really stuck. There we go! Okay, give me the new one.

Linda: Here you go.

Dad: Perfect. That should do it. Go ahead and flip the switch.

Linda: [flips switch] Hey, it works!

Dad: Nice teamwork! Thanks for the help, kiddo.Linda: No problem, Dad!

[Living room. A light suddenly goes out. Linda and her dad look up] [Sala de estar. Uma luz de repente apaga. Linda e seu pai olham para cima]

Linda: Oh! The light just went out. Linda: Oh! A luz acabou de apagar.

Dad: Looks like we need a new bulb. Want to help me change it? Pai: Parece que precisamos de uma lâmpada nova. Quer me ajudar a trocá-la?

Linda: Sure! Linda: Claro!

Dad: It’s pretty high up, so I’ll need the ladder. Can you hold it steady while I climb? Pai: Está bem alto, então vou precisar da escada. Você pode segurá-la firme enquanto eu subo?

Linda: Yeah, I got it. Linda: Sim, eu seguro.

Dad: Great. You can hold the new bulb too and hand it to me when I’m ready. Pai: Ótimo. Você pode segurar a lâmpada nova também e me entregar quando eu estiver pronto.

Linda: Okay! Linda: Ok!

Dad: Alright, I’m going up. You holding it? Pai: Certo, estou subindo. Você está segurando?

Linda: Yep, nice and steady. Linda: Sim, bem firme.

Dad: Ugh, this old bulb is really stuck. There we go! Okay, give me the new one. Pai: Ugh, esta lâmpada velha está realmente presa. Pronto! Ok, me dá a nova.

Linda: Here you go. Linda: Aqui está.

Dad: Perfect. That should do it. Go ahead and flip the switch. Pai: Perfeito. Isso deve resolver. Vai em frente e aciona o interruptor.

Linda: [flips switch] Hey, it works! Linda: [aciona o interruptor] Ei, funciona!

Dad: Nice teamwork! Thanks for the help, kiddo. Pai: Bom trabalho em equipe! Obrigado pela ajuda, filhota.

Linda: No problem, Dad! Linda: Sem problema, pai!
