Two friends are walking down the street on a sunny afternoon.

Alex: What a beautiful day, isn’t it, Emma?

Emma: Absolutely! The sun is shining, the birds are singing… it really feels like spring is here!

Alex: So, what do you want to do this afternoon? We could watch a movie, try that new Italian restaurant, or maybe—

(Emma suddenly sees a friend passing by.)

Emma: Sarah! Hi there!

Sarah: Hey, Emma! Long time no see! How are you?

(They hug warmly.)

Emma: I’m great! What about you?

Sarah: I’m good too. Just doing some shopping. What are you two up to?

Emma: We’re just out for a walk. Oh—this is my friend Alex.

Alex: Hi! Nice to meet you.

(They shake hands.)

Sarah: Nice to meet you too!

Alex: So, how do you two know each other?

Emma: We were in the same Italian class last year. We haven’t seen each other in ages!

Sarah: I know, right? It’s so nice running into you!

Alex: Why don’t you join us? We were just talking about getting lunch.

Emma: Yeah! Come with us. It’ll be great to catch up!

Sarah: I’d love to! Thanks for inviting me.

Alex: No problem! Any friend of Emma’s is a friend of mine.
