Scene: A passport control booth at London Heathrow Airport. Alex, looking a bit tired after a long flight, approaches the immigration officer’s desk with their passport and landing card.

Officer: Good afternoon. Passport and landing card, please.

Alex: Yes, here they are.

Officer: Thank you. What’s the purpose of your visit to the UK?

Alex: I’m here on holiday.

Officer: How long are you planning to stay?

Alex: Two weeks. I’m leaving on the 15th.

Officer: And where will you be staying during your visit?

Alex: At the Royal Park Hotel in central London for the first week, and then I’m visiting a friend in Brighton for the second week.

Officer: Do you have a return ticket?

Alex: Yes, I do. It’s on my phone—would you like to see it?

Officer: That’s alright. Is this your first time in the UK?

Alex: No, I was here about three years ago.

Officer: Okay. Are you bringing any food, plants, or large amounts of cash with you?

Alex: No, nothing like that.

Officer: Alright, Mr. Chen. Everything looks fine. Enjoy your stay.

Alex: Thank you very much!

Officer: Good afternoon. Passport and landing card, please. Oficial: Boa tarde. Passaporte e cartão de desembarque, por favor.

Alex: Yes, here they are. Alex: Sim, aqui estão.

Officer: Thank you. What’s the purpose of your visit to the UK? Oficial: Obrigado. Qual é o propósito da sua visita ao Reino Unido?

Alex: I’m here on holiday. Alex: Estou aqui de férias.

Officer: How long are you planning to stay? Oficial: Quanto tempo você está planejando ficar?

Alex: Two weeks. I’m leaving on the 15th. Alex: Duas semanas. Estou saindo no dia 15.

Officer: And where will you be staying during your visit? Oficial: E onde você vai ficar durante sua visita?

Alex: At the Royal Park Hotel in central London for the first week, and then I’m visiting a friend in Brighton for the second week. Alex: No Royal Park Hotel no centro de Londres durante a primeira semana, e depois vou visitar um amigo em Brighton na segunda semana.

Officer: Do you have a return ticket? Oficial: Você tem passagem de volta?
