5. Meeting a New Friend in Class.

Laura: Wow, how many siblings do you have?
Sam: I have four sisters and three brothers.
Laura: Oh, that’s a big family! I can’t imagine — I’m an only child.
Sam: Yeah, it can be a bit crazy sometimes, but I love them all. I guess being an only child must be nice too — lots of peace and quiet at home!
Laura: Yeah, that’s true. I spend a lot of my free time practicing music.
Sam: Music? That’s awesome! What kind of music do you play?
Laura: I play the clarinet, piano, and guitar. I also like writing my own songs and recording them for fun.
Sam: Wow, that’s really impressive! I like music too, but I’m not that talented. I’ve been trying to learn the bass guitar, but I’m still a beginner.
Laura: That’s great! Everyone starts somewhere. Maybe we can jam together sometime.
Sam: That would be awesome! Thanks, Laura.
Laura: You’re welcome. Well, it was nice talking to you, Sam, but I’ve got to go now.
