[Living room. Mary and Joan are trying to watch TV, but the picture is fuzzy]

Mary: Ugh, something’s wrong with the TV.

Joan: What’s happening?

Mary: The picture’s all messed up. It was fine ten minutes ago.

Joan: Try hitting it! That always works for mine.

Mary: Really? [hits the top of the TV] Oh no! That made it worse!

Joan: Oops. Maybe call your husband?

Mary: Good idea. [calls Steve] Hey, the TV’s broken. Can you fix it when you get home?

Steve: [on phone] I’m pulling up right now. I’ll take a look.

Mary: Thanks! [hangs up] He’s almost here.

Joan: Oh look, there he is!

Steve: [walks in] Hey! Let me see this TV. What happened?

Joan: It just stopped working! The picture went all fuzzy.

Steve: Alright, let me grab my tools.

[Steve takes the TV apart and puts it back together]

Steve: Okay, moment of truth. [turns it on]

Mary: Still nothing. Same fuzzy picture.

Steve: Well, I tried. Might be time to call a professional.

Joan: Or just buy a new one!

Mary: Repair guys are so expensive though…Steve: Yeah, but we don’t have much choice.

[Living room. Mary and Joan are trying to watch TV, but the picture is fuzzy] [Sala de estar. Mary e Joan estão tentando assistir TV, mas a imagem está embaçada]

Mary: Ugh, something’s wrong with the TV. Mary: Ugh, algo está errado com a TV.

Joan: What’s happening? Joan: O que está acontecendo?

Mary: The picture’s all messed up. It was fine ten minutes ago. Mary: A imagem está toda estragada. Estava boa dez minutos atrás.

Joan: Try hitting it! That always works for mine. Joan: Tenta bater nela! Isso sempre funciona com a minha.

Mary: Really? [hits the top of the TV] Oh no! That made it worse! Mary: Sério? [bate no topo da TV] Oh não! Isso piorou!

Joan: Oops. Maybe call your husband? Joan: Ops. Talvez ligar para seu marido?

Mary: Good idea. [calls Steve] Hey, the TV’s broken. Can you fix it when you get home? Mary: Boa ideia. [liga para Steve] Ei, a TV quebrou. Você pode consertar quando chegar em casa?

Steve: [on phone] I’m pulling up right now. I’ll take a look. Steve: [no telefone] Estou chegando agora. Vou dar uma olhada.

Mary: Thanks! [hangs up] He’s almost here. Mary: Obrigada! [desliga] Ele está quase aqui.

Joan: Oh look, there he is! Joan: Oh olha, lá está ele!

Steve: [walks in] Hey! Let me see this TV. What happened? Steve: [entra] Ei! Deixa eu ver essa TV. O que aconteceu?

Joan: It just stopped working! The picture went all fuzzy. Joan: Simplesmente parou de funcionar! A imagem ficou toda embaçada.

Steve: Alright, let me grab my tools. Steve: Tudo bem, deixa eu pegar minhas ferramentas.

[Steve takes the TV apart and puts it back together] [Steve desmonta a TV e a monta de novo]

Steve: Okay, moment of truth. [turns it on] Steve: Ok, momento da verdade. [liga ela]

Mary: Still nothing. Same fuzzy picture. Mary: Ainda nada. Mesma imagem embaçada.

Steve: Well, I tried. Might be time to call a professional. Steve: Bem, eu tentei. Pode ser hora de chamar um profissional.

Joan: Or just buy a new one! Joan: Ou simplesmente comprar uma nova!

Mary: Repair guys are so expensive though… Mary: Mas os caras que consertam são tão caros…

Steve: Yeah, but we don’t have much choice. Steve: É, mas não temos muita escolha.
