[Break room at work. Larry walks in while Kristie is making coffee]

Larry: Hey, did you catch the Olympics last night?

Kristie: No, I totally missed it! What was on?

Larry: Beach volleyball, tennis, and some basketball games.

Kristie: Oh man, tennis? Who was playing?

Larry: Germany versus Peru in the quarterfinals.

Kristie: Ooh, who won?

Larry: It went to five sets, but Peru pulled through.

Kristie: Aw, I was hoping Germany would win. How’d they do in the other events?

Larry: Actually, they won gold in beach volleyball.

Kristie: Nice! At least they got something. Hey, do you know when gymnastics is on? That’s what I really want to see.

Larry: Thursday night, I think around 8.

Kristie: Perfect. I’m definitely watching that.

Larry: Want to watch it together? We could grab dinner first.

Kristie: Yeah, that sounds fun! Let’s do it.Larry: Cool, I’ll text you Thursday.

Kristie: Oh man, tennis? Who was playing? Kristie: Ai cara, tênis? Quem estava jogando?

Larry: Germany versus Peru in the quarterfinals. Larry: Alemanha contra Peru nas quartas de final.

Kristie: Ooh, who won? Kristie: Ooh, quem ganhou?

Larry: It went to five sets, but Peru pulled through. Larry: Foi até cinco sets, mas Peru conseguiu.

Kristie: Aw, I was hoping Germany would win. How’d they do in the other events? Kristie: Ah, eu estava torcendo para a Alemanha ganhar. Como eles se saíram nos outros eventos?

Larry: Actually, they won gold in beach volleyball. Larry: Na verdade, eles ganharam ouro no vôlei de praia.
