[Coffee shop. Mindy spots Paul at a table and walks over with excitement]

Mindy: Paul! Oh my gosh, where have you been? I haven’t seen you in forever!

Paul: (smiling) Egypt, actually! Just got back last night.

Mindy: Wait, what? Egypt? That’s incredible! How was it?

Paul: Honestly? Mind-blowing. I’m still processing everything.

Mindy: (sitting down) Okay, tell me everything. How long were you there?

Paul: A little over a week. Not long enough, though.

Mindy: So… what did you do? I mean, pyramids, right?

Paul: (laughing) Of course! The pyramids were unreal. We also explored the pharaohs’ tombs, spent hours in the Egyptian Museum… oh, and we saw this traditional dance performance one night. And mummies! Actual mummies. There was so much more, but those were definitely the highlights.

Mindy: That sounds amazing! Did you make it to the Red Sea?

Paul: (shaking his head) No, we ran out of time. But honestly, we were so busy every single day—there wasn’t a dull moment.

Mindy: What about camels? Please tell me you saw camels.

Paul: (grinning) Camels everywhere! Especially near the pyramids. You can even ride them if you want.

Mindy: And the Nile? Did you go on the Nile?

Paul: (eyes lighting up) Yeah! We took this amazing boat ride—about an hour long. Seeing Egypt from the world’s longest river… I mean, I’ll never forget that view.

Mindy: (sighing) Ugh, I’m so jealous right now.

Paul: Hey, if you really want to go, you can make it happen.Mindy:(determined) You know what? I’m starting a travel fund today!

57. Back from Egypt 57. De Volta do Egito

[Coffee shop. Mindy spots Paul at a table and walks over with excitement] [Cafeteria. Mindy avista Paul em uma mesa e se aproxima com animação]

Mindy: Paul! Oh my gosh, where have you been? I haven’t seen you in forever! Mindy: Paul! Ai meu Deus, onde você esteve? Não te vejo há uma eternidade!

Paul: (smiling) Egypt, actually! Just got back last night. Paul: (sorrindo) Egito, na verdade! Acabei de voltar ontem à noite.

Mindy: Wait, what? Egypt? That’s incredible! How was it? Mindy: Espera, o quê? Egito? Isso é incrível! Como foi?

Paul: Honestly? Mind-blowing. I’m still processing everything. Paul: Honestamente? De tirar o fôlego. Ainda estou processando tudo.

Mindy: (sitting down) Okay, tell me everything. How long were you there? Mindy: (sentando) Ok, me conta tudo. Quanto tempo você ficou lá?

Paul: A little over a week. Not long enough, though. Paul: Um pouco mais de uma semana. Não foi tempo suficiente, no entanto.

Mindy: So… what did you do? I mean, pyramids, right? Mindy: Então… o que você fez? Quer dizer, pirâmides, né?

Paul: (laughing) Of course! The pyramids were unreal. We also explored the pharaohs’ tombs, spent hours in the Egyptian Museum… oh, and we saw this traditional dance performance one night. And mummies! Actual mummies. There was so much more, but those were definitely the highlights. Paul: (rindo) Claro! As pirâmides eram irreais. Também exploramos as tumbas dos faraós, passamos horas no Museu Egípcio… ah, e vimos uma apresentação de dança tradicional uma noite. E múmias! Múmias de verdade. Teve muito mais, mas esses foram definitivamente os destaques.

Mindy: That sounds amazing! Did you make it to the Red Sea? Mindy: Isso parece incrível! Você conseguiu ir ao Mar Vermelho?

Paul: (shaking his head) No, we ran out of time. But honestly, we were so busy every single day—there wasn’t a dull moment. Paul: (balançando a cabeça) Não, ficamos sem tempo. Mas honestamente, estávamos tão ocupados todos os dias—não teve um momento chato.

Mindy: What about camels? Please tell me you saw camels. Mindy: E quanto a camelos? Por favor me diga que você viu camelos.

Paul: (grinning) Camels everywhere! Especially near the pyramids. You can even ride them if you want. Paul: (sorrindo) Camelos por todo lado! Especialmente perto das pirâmides. Você pode até montá-los se quiser.

Mindy: And the Nile? Did you go on the Nile? Mindy: E o Nilo? Você foi ao Nilo?

Fizemos este passeio de barco incrível—cerca de uma hora. Ver o Egito do rio mais longo do mundo… quer dizer, nunca vou esquecer aquela vista.

Mindy: (sighing) Ugh, I’m so jealous right now. Mindy: (suspirando) Ugh, estou com tanta inveja agora.

Paul: Hey, if you really want to go, you can make it happen. Paul: Ei, se você realmente quer ir, pode fazer acontecer.

Mindy: (determined) You know what? I’m starting a travel fund today! Mindy: (determinada) Sabe de uma coisa? Vou começar um fundo de viagem hoje!
