SCENE: Inside a men’s clothing store on a weekday afternoon. The shop assistant is organizing clothes on a display table when a customer walks in looking around.

MARCUS: Hi there! Looking for something today?

CHRIS: Yeah, I need some new pants. Where can I find them?

MARCUS: Sure thing! Are you looking for jeans or dress pants?

CHRIS: Actually, I’m looking for casual pants. You know, something comfortable.

MARCUS: Got it. This way. Here’s our latest casual collection. These are really popular right now.

CHRIS: Hmm… not really my style. What else do you have?

MARCUS: No problem. We’ve got some great Dockers over here. They make really good casual pants. What size are you?

CHRIS: I’m a 32/32. Oh, I like these grey ones!

MARCUS: Nice choice! Want to try them on? The fitting rooms are right over there.

CHRIS: Yeah, let me give them a shot.

Chris goes to the fitting room and comes back a minute later.

MARCUS: How do they fit?

CHRIS: They feel really good!

MARCUS: They look great on you!

CHRIS: I like them, but the price is a bit steep for me.

MARCUS: Well… let me tell you something. Tomorrow we’re starting our seasonal sale, and all Dockers pants will be 20% off.

CHRIS: Oh, seriously? That’s perfect! I’ll definitely come back tomorrow then.

MARCUS: Sounds good! Happy to help!

CHRIS: Thanks so much! See you tomorrow!MARCUS: See you then!

19. Buying Pants 19. Comprando Calças

SCENE: Inside a men’s clothing store on a weekday afternoon. The shop assistant is organizing clothes on a display table when a customer walks in looking around. CENA: Dentro de uma loja de roupas masculinas em uma tarde de dia de semana. O assistente de loja está organizando roupas em uma mesa de exposição quando um cliente entra olhando ao redor.

MARCUS: Hi there! Looking for something today? MARCUS: Olá! Procurando algo hoje?

CHRIS: Yeah, I need some new pants. Where can I find them? CHRIS: Sim, preciso de calças novas. Onde posso encontrá-las?

MARCUS: Sure thing! Are you looking for jeans or dress pants? MARCUS: Claro! Você está procurando jeans ou calças sociais?

CHRIS: Actually, I’m looking for casual pants. You know, something comfortable. CHRIS: Na verdade, estou procurando calças casuais. Sabe, algo confortável.

MARCUS: They look great on you! MARCUS: Ficam ótimas em você!

CHRIS: I like them, but the price is a bit steep for me. CHRIS: Gosto delas, mas o preço é um pouco alto para mim.

MARCUS: Well… let me tell you something. Tomorrow we’re starting our seasonal sale, and all Dockers pants will be 20% off. MARCUS: Bem… deixa eu te contar uma coisa. Amanhã começamos nossa liquidação sazonal, e todas as calças Dockers terão 20% de desconto.
