Eric used to work in an e-commerce business for two years. An e-commerce business is a business that does not usually have a physical storefront and primarily sells its products online. Eric loved working at this company because he loved the products and believed in the vision of the company. He was always happy to come into work early to help out his coworkers whenever his help was needed. The company was small so it was important that all of the employees understood that they each had to wear different hats to fulfill different roles within the business. Eric never had a problem handling issues outside of his department. But after the business was acquired by a larger company, management changed and many people were let go as a result of the acquisition. Unfortunately, Eric was among the employees who were let go. He was incredibly sad to leave the company he loved but accepted the decision from the new management team.
