Scene: A Monday morning at work. Liam runs into his coworker Maya by the coffee machine. She’s just returned from a week-long vacation and looks relaxed and happy.

Liam: Hey, Maya! You’re back! How was your trip?

Maya: It was amazing, Liam! I’m so glad I went.

Liam: Where did you end up going?

Maya: I went hiking and camping in Banff National Park—up in the Canadian Rockies.

Liam: Oh wow, that sounds incredible! What was it like?

Maya: It was beautiful. I saw so many animals—deer, elk, and I even spotted a black bear from a distance. The mountains were stunning, and we had perfect weather the whole time. Not a single drop of rain!

Liam: That’s so lucky! Did you take any photos? I’d love to see them.

Maya: Oh yeah, tons! I actually took way too many. Are you free tomorrow evening? You could come by my place and I’ll show you.

Liam: That sounds perfect. I’d really like to see them.

Maya: Great! Come around seven?Liam: See you then!

Scene: A Monday morning at work. Liam runs into his coworker Maya by the coffee machine. She’s just returned from a week-long vacation and looks relaxed and happy. Cena: Uma segunda-feira de manhã no trabalho. Liam encontra sua colega de trabalho Maya na máquina de café. Ela acabou de voltar de uma semana de férias e parece relaxada e feliz.

Liam: Hey, Maya! You’re back! How was your trip? Liam: Ei, Maya! Você voltou! Como foi sua viagem?

Maya: It was amazing, Liam! I’m so glad I went. Maya: Foi incrível, Liam! Estou tão feliz que fui.

Liam: Where did you end up going? Liam: Onde você acabou indo?

Maya: I went hiking and camping in Banff National Park—up in the Canadian Rockies. Maya: Fui fazer trilha e acampar no Parque Nacional Banff—nas Montanhas Rochosas Canadenses.

Liam: Oh wow, that sounds incredible! What was it like? Liam: Ah uau, isso parece incrível! Como foi?

Maya: It was beautiful. I saw so many animals—deer, elk, and I even spotted a black bear from a distance. The mountains were stunning, and we had perfect weather the whole time. Not a single drop of rain! Maya: Foi lindo. Vi tantos animais—veados, alces, e até avistei um urso negro de longe. As montanhas eram deslumbrantes, e tivemos tempo perfeito o tempo todo. Nem uma única gota de chuva!

Liam: That’s so lucky! Did you take any photos? I’d love to see them. Liam: Que sorte! Você tirou fotos? Adoraria vê-las.

Maya: Oh yeah, tons! I actually took way too many. Are you free tomorrow evening? You could come by my place and I’ll show you. Maya: Ah sim, muitas! Na verdade tirei muitas demais. Você está livre amanhã à noite? Você poderia passar na minha casa e vou te mostrar.
