Scene: Times Square in New York City. Two friends, Sofia and Aiden, have just arrived for their first visit. They’re standing near their hotel with their suitcases, looking at a city map on Sofia’s phone.

Sofia: I can’t believe we’re actually in New York! This is amazing, Aiden.

Aiden: I know, right? I’m really excited to see Central Park. How many parks does the city have, anyway?

Sofia: Let me check… Wow, it says here there are over 1,700 parks!

Aiden: Seriously? That’s crazy! So where do you want to go first?

Sofia: I’ve been reading about the museums here. Apparently, some of them are among the best in the world!

Aiden: Oh yeah! I really want to visit the Met—the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It’s supposed to be huge, with hundreds of galleries and thousands of paintings.

Sofia: Me too! And they have that Egyptian temple inside—the whole thing, not just pieces of it.

Aiden: I love this city already! I’m also thinking about checking out some universities while we’re here. Maybe I’ll apply to one after I graduate.

Sofia: That would be amazing! Okay, we have so much to see. Where should we start?

Aiden: How about we drop our bags at the hotel first, grab some food, and then we’re good to go?Sofia: Perfect plan! Let’s do it.

Sofia: I can’t believe we’re actually in New York! This is amazing, Aiden. Sofia: Não acredito que estamos realmente em Nova York! Isso é incrível, Aiden.
